RTP Payload Type

SDP 전문에서 협상 가능한 미디어 코덱에 대한 식별자로 RTP Payload Type 값을 사용한다. IANA 표준 규약은 고정 미디어 프로파일(0~95번), 동적 미디어 프로파일(96~127번)으로 분류하여 정의하고 있으며, 후자의 경우 중복되지 않는 미디어 프로파일 번호를 할당하고 협상할 수 있어야 한다.
